University of Northern Philippines

The University of Northern Philippines holds the distinction of being a Level IV University, the highest level for State Colleges and Universities in the country, duly accredited and certified by the Commission of Higher Education (CHED).

It has collaborated with the University of Hawaii Kapiolani Community College for its exchange program in nursing. In Medicine, affiliate hospitals include Candon General Hospital, Salcedo District Hospital, Sta. Lucia District Hospital, Southern Ilocos Sur District Hospital, Sto. Nino Hospital, Cagayan Valley Medical Center, Candon City Hospital, Central Ilocos Sur District Hospital and the Ilocos Region Training Medical Center.

Furthermore, UNP is the only State University in Region I and Cordillera that has produced a University Professor who is one among those who obtained an excellent rating nationwide. Additionally, UNP is the only State University outside Metro Manila that participated in World Bank funded researches, and the only university in Region I accorded by USAID with two research grants in a span of three years.


Cagayan State University

The CSU College of Medicine is affiliated with Cagayan Valley Medical Center, a duly authorized teaching training agency of the Department of Health. Additionally, it is a first-rate public hospital with integrated healthcare services, accredited teaching and training capabilities, thus, providing optimum and comprehensive health and medical services to people. Other recognized affiliations include hospitals in Quezon City and Manila such as Veterans Memorial Medical Center, East Avenue Medical Center, AFP General Hospital and San Lazaro Hospital.

The Emilio Aguinaldo College

Founded in 1951 under the name of Marian School of Midwifery, Emilio Aguinaldo College believes in a life of VIRTUE, EXCELLENCE and SERVICE. Thus, for almost four decades of fulfilling its mission of developing responsible people through relevant and quality education, Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC) prides itself in having built state-of-the-art facilities that help its students develop and acquire profound knowledge. Aside from having established affiliations with other institutions and linkages with various industries here and abroad, the Emilio Aguinaldo College was the recipient of the "2005 Most Outstanding Physical Therapy Education Provider" global awards by the Philippine Marketing Practitioners Association, Inc., Business Asia Magazine, the Asia-Pacific Global Awards for Marketing Excellence, Inc. and the Agora Institute for Marketing Excellence. Davao Medical School Foundation

In July 1976, as a response to the recognition of shortage of doctors serving rural communities and lack of specialists in urban centers of Mindanao, the Davao Medical School Foundation (DMSF) was established. Being the first college to be set up in Mindanao, the DMSF College of Medicine is dedicated to providing education and training of the highest order in the field of medicine.

The DMSF College of Medicine has envisioned itself as a center for academic excellence, geared towards building healthy communities through competent, compassionate, and highly ethical and socially responsive graduates, nurtured in a holistic learning environment as it equally seeks to achieve its mission through three strands of activity namely; INSTRUCTION, RESEARCH, and EXTENSION.

The Davao Medical School Foundation is a consortium of accredited institutions namely the Ateneo de Davao University, Brokenshire Memorial Hospital, Development of People’s Foundation and San Pedro College. The students are affiliated to the Davao Medical Center, the Davao Doctors Hospitals, San Pedro Hospital and Brokenshire Memorial Hospital for their clinical rotations in the third and fourth years of their courses.


University Of The East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center

The University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center is a world-renowned training ground for the medical, nursing and physical therapy professions.

To maintain academic excellence, the Medical Center sought voluntary accreditation in all its program offerings with PAASCU. The College of Medicine is Level 2 accredited, the College of Nursing has been recertified Level 3 and the College of Physical Therapy was granted Level 1 accreditation all in 2004. The UERM Memorial Medical Center is presently classified as one of the 24 deregulated schools in the country and is set to pursue an “autonomous” status in the near future.

Through its linkages with training hospitals in the United States of America, qualified Filipino-Americans are offered opportunities to undertake part of their clinical clerkship training in the affiliated hospitals listed below:

Tarlac State University

The Tarlac State University (TSU) has over the years, grown from a simple Trade School into technical, then Technological and now, into a Comprehensive University offering forty-four (44) curricular programs with thirty-six (36) different majors of studies from the Laboratory School to the Graduate School.

The Tarlac State University is a strong institution for its culture of quality and excellence in higher education as edified in its people and product. Moreover, it is committed to develop, promote and sustain the efficiency of quality and relevant programs in higher education for people empowerment and professional development.

Tarlac State University is one of the best institutions in Region III with almost all of its curricular offerings accredited by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities of the Philippines (AACCUP) and with State Universities and Colleges (SUC) Level 3-A status. At present, the TSU is rapidly growing in terms of development and internationalization.


CEBU DOCTORS UNIVERSITY

Cebu Doctors' University is a medical university located in Mandaue City, Cebu, Philippines. Founded in 1975 and as of 2005, it has grown to outwit other schools in the number of students who passed the board exams. After a rich development into a multi-college campus, it was granted university status in 2004. It boasts one of the best health-oriented education curricula offering medical and paramedical courses.

Its College of Arts and Sciences, in addition, offers AB Psychology, AB English, Associate in Computer Science and Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, to further incorporate the breadth of world views and to improve its international prospects. The current campus is located near Osmeña Boulevard, Ma. Cristina M. Zosa, and Don Jose Avila Streets.

 

UNIVERSITY OF THE VISAYAS

The University of the Visayas was founded by the late Don Vicente A. Gullas in 1919 as the Visayan Institute (V.I.) in Cebu City. Undergoing many years of redevelopment and surviving a post war period,  The University of the Visayas today boasts an eight-campus, province-wide delivery of higher education and lower level laboratory schools.

The Gullas Medical Center is located at Banilad, Mandaue City. It houses the Vicente Gullas Memorial Hospital, a 100-bed Tertiary Care Hospital accredited by PhilHealth, the Gullas College of Medicine, the UV College of Nursing, the Gullas College of Dentistry, the Tan Kim Ching Cancer Center and the upcoming Cosmetic Surgery Center including other health-related courses.

 

SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY

The Southwestern University was founded as Southwestern Colleges in the summer of 1946 when the country was still reeling from the destruction of the Second World War.

Since its acquisition of the University status in 1959, it has come a long way and today boasts over 50 degree programs in the graduate and undergraduate levels, with an enrolment of more than 10 thousand.
